Nurture What's wild
Capital Campaign

We are building our new expanded campus and "forever home".

A new chapter for Busch Wildlife Sanctuary

Busch Wildlife Sanctuary has helped save almost 6,000 injured, sick and orphaned wildlife patients this past year. Now, our wildlife needs YOUR HELP!

Founded in 1983, the Sanctuary has rescued, rehabilitated, and released thousands of animals each year and provided vital environmental education for generations of South Floridians and visitors. The number of animal patients needing our care increased by 20% between 2018 and 2020. We won’t turn away wildlife we can help, but we have outgrown our home in Jupiter.  We have found the perfect property that will allow us to meet the growing needs of our wildlife and provide conservation education to thousands more children and families. The Sanctuary has operated on 11 acres of leased land owned by the Loxahatchee River Environmental Control District since 1997. The Sanctuary has expanded exponentially each year, adding new enclosures, upgrading original habitats for improved animal quality of life, and introducing new educational experiences to keep guests engaged.

We are now at a turning point -- developing a larger campus that we can call our own for many generations to come. We need your help to ensure the future of these efforts. The Give Flight to Wildlife Capital Campaign will allow us to build expanded rehabilitation areas for wildlife – a larger, improved flight enclosure for birds, rehabilitative deer paddocks, a new large mammal rehab enclosure and a larger animal care and administration building to replace the double-wide trailer we have operated out of for over 20 years!

Our vision is to instill in all visitors a sense of commitment to protect our native wildlife and preserve our natural resources through interaction with our wildlife and engaging educational presentations.

In addition to our rehabilitation efforts, the Sanctuary offers community outreach programs to over 150,000 people annually free of charge. The new facilities will enable the Sanctuary to educate more individuals and change future generations’ outlook on protecting and caring for Florida native wildlife.

Please join us to rescue and rehabilitate wildlife!
