This habitat is serving as a temporay home to a Great Horned Owl from Peace River Wildlife Center.
The Great Horned Owl is the stereotypical owl of storybooks with earlike tufts, yellow eyes, and deep hooting vocalizations. They are the largest species of owl in Florida and are highly adaptable birds found throughout North America in diverse habitats ranging from forests and deserts to urban areas.
