The humble honeybee. Bees are some of the hardest working creatures on Earth and we depend on them more than we may realize. But today their populations are in decline. Come learn about the importance of these prolific pollinators. The discussion will include a range of topics, from the societal structure of the honeybee colony to the role they play in agriculture and the environment and the threats they currently face. Local honey will be available for purchase. Proceeds from admission to the event will benefit the Sanctuary. Gates will open an hour before the presentation to allow visitors the opportunity to wonder the Sanctuary.
